About

Our mission is to help people, just like you, find relief and comfort from aches, pains and injuries. We also help you manage stress that comes with living a busy life. We can even help you to improve your performance in both your professional and daily activities. Through a variety of therapeutic massage techniques, we work to improve the quality of your soft tissue (things like muscles and joint structures) which helps to better align your bones and improve the flow of blood and energy. This has the added benefit of stimulating the release of “feel-good” chemicals in the brain, calming your mind. So, whether you need to remedy an old injury, save your posture from bad habits, or wash away the weight of the world for a while, we can help!

Tami Savarese, LMT

Tami graduated from Kean University in 2009 with her BA in Psychology. She went on to receive her License in Bodyworks/Massage Therapy from The Academy of Natural Health Sciences in 2014. Shortly after, she opened up Restorative Medical Massage Therapy. Tami specializes in medical massage, Swedish, Shiatsu, reflexology, lymphatic, and pre/post natal. She works  with professional athletes and everyday people alike. Tami has an interest in treating sports and workout related injuries, as well as medical ailments such as anxiety, lymphedema, neurological disorders, and muscular disorders. Outside of massage, Tami is an active dancer trained in tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop. She has danced for over 25 years. As an eager-to-learn and active individual, her goals are to continue learning the most up-to-date treatments, as well as surgical procedures to give her patients the best care possible.

Jason Boruta, LMT

Jason received his massage license in 2015 from the Therapeutic and Massage Training Center. Before receiving his license, Jason was a patient technician at Jersey City Medical Center. Jason's specialities include problem oriented massage, deep tissue, sports massage, myofascial release, and assisted stretching. Jason is very active in outdoor sports such as rock climbing, slack lining, and cycling. Due to his experiences in the hospital field as well as his outdoor activities, he is familiar with and has worked on an array of injuries.

Mona Walter
Office Manager

Mona has been the front office face and voice of RMMT since they opened in 2014. When Tami opened the office, she couldn't think of anyone else she would rather work with every day and help her run her company than her mom! Mona takes pride in handling all of the day-to-day administrative tasks, but is especially connected to each patient and loves to see their progress and track each individual journey.

Working with Athletes

Over the last several years, Tami has expanded her practice to work with athletes from pee wee, high school, and college, up to professional athletes. Injury prevention is a key factor in Tami and Jason's treatments. RMMT works closely with many doctors at Summit Medical Group, treating their patients who need a different type of manual therapy or in conjunction with medical treatments they may be receiving. Tami and Jason truly enjoy what they do each and every day.

From the time they opened their doors, RMMT has been a place that clients could not only come for healing, but also to feel that their individual goals were being understood with compassion and care. A large part of the way this is achieved is by the "family-run and supported" mentality that both Tami and Jason bring to the table. When a client comes in for a session, they too become part of the family, and the therapists and office staff make sure that each person feels comfortable and at home from beginning to end. Tami and Jason believe that this philosophy leads to a better experience and promotes healing in a way that distinguishes them from any other massage therapy business.
